Course Overview
- Against all expectations that AI would metaphorically stimulate the logical left side of the brain, it surprisingly sparked a revolution on the right side. The synergy between the creative mind and intelligent machines now intertwines, enabling the co-creation of innovative designs. This dual mode of production holds immense potential to manifest realities that neither entity could achieve alone. This remarkable shift owes much to the silent revolution in human-machine interaction, embodied by advancements like Midjourney, Dall-E, and Stable Diffusion. These breakthroughs have introduced novel ways to engage with self-learning systems, separating the moment of ideation from the design process. The text prompt logic, the focus on language and vocabulary, the research of metaphors or reference images, dataset training, they all contribute to separate the moment of ideation from the design process. Arturo Tedeschi
Arturo Tedeschi is an Italian architect and computational designer internationally renowned for his sculptural and visionary approach combined with research on advanced design methods, materials and fabrication technologies.
His use of digital technologies blurs the line between disciplines and emphasizes the semantic and emotional values of objects. Qualities such as functionality, sustainability and innovation are always complemented by a vision where forms are capable of triggering an emotional response and inspire the user. His work includes: architecture projects, interior design, stage design, automotive, industrial design, jewelry, watches, furniture, fashion, footwear, as well as a significant production of art installations.
As a consultant he collaborated with world-known brands and offices providing services related to algorithmic modeling, complex geometry, digital fabrication, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and data driven design. His personal work has been featured in international magazines such as Forbes, Wired, Dezeen, AD, Business Insider and exhibited worldwide.
He is the author of the book AAD Algorithms-Aided Design unanimously considered the global reference on the subject and since 2011 he promoted and directed several events and workshops that trained a generation of students and professionals. In 2019 he was appointed Italian Ambassador for Design by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He lives and works in Milano.

- Midjourney: No prior experience needed. Subscription required, Standard membership recommended
- Stable Diffusion (local installation or Rundiffusion for cloud computing)
- Rhino/Grasshopper (Lunchbox plugin): Basic notion of 3D modelling and Grasshopper is required. This is not an introductory course on Grasshopper.

- It is advisable to have active plans for the following tools: Midjourney, Prome AI, Krea AI and Runway. This tools covered have free versions, except for Midjourney.
- Basic knowledge of interior design and architecture is recommended.
